A place of hope....

The Good Samaritan Association was founded by Magdelena Torres in January 1991. Her heart was broken after seeing children abandoned due to family disintegration, domestic violence, inadequate housing, drug/alcohol abuse, and other social and economic ills. Her passion for these kids grew into an effective mission that has been serving the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families in Jocotenango, Guatemala ever since. The community center provides consistent meals, primary education, tutoring, and a stable environment to 60 students every day.
